Purple Fever! Carlos Mota’s new book

By Titina Penzini (IG @titinapenzini)

Author, creative consultant, interior designer, and former style editor Carlos Mota just launched his new book “Purple Fever,” published by Vendôme Press, the chicest British book editors.

New York City was the perfect city to celebrate the occasion in which Carlos was hosted by an incredible group of his closest friends, including Muriel Brandolini, Aerin Lauder, Lauren Santo Domingo, Allison Sarofim, Tory Burch, Jamie Tisch, Renée Rockefeller, and Elizabeth Saltzman at the fabulous Fasano Restaurant New York, owned by Gero Fasano, of course.

This new book is a rich exploration of the colour purple and its presence in nature, art, design, jewelry, and fashion, and how it represents royalty, luxury, transmutation, and peace.

Artists such as Georgia O’Keeffe had a fixation with hues of purple, such as lavenderish grey or purple petunia, in her paintings. This would make the perfect holiday gift for that friend who loves design, interior decoration, or fashion to awaken their inspiration and creativity.

Carlos really made the perfect mix of friends that night, like Giancarlo Giametti, Susan Gutfreund, Wes Gordon, Rafael Azzi, Ana Fasano, Amy Sacco, and Giovanna Battaglia, among many other relevant people from the industry.

Congratulations to Carlos and Vendôme Press on this exciting new colour adventure!
