Dawn Light by Ozone in New York City
With 25 years of activity, projects, and progress behind it, Ozone is celebrating much more than just an anniversary in New York City – it is the starting point of a new era, the dawn of a new day for light.
Light, architecture, and technology... it was around these three shared passions that Etienne Gounot and Éric Jähnke decided to create Ozone in 2000. Supported by the confidence of their first clients, who involved them in major projects (Louis Vuitton boutiques, Saint-Louis crystal, Monsieur Bleu restaurant, etc.), they developed exceptional expertise and know-how.
Over the past 25 years, the Ozone collection has forged a unique personality in the sector, offering lighting with elegantly assertive lines, always serving the highest standards in manufacturing and light expression. Designed and manufactured entirely in Paris, in Ozone’s atelier, each piece is made to order.
“Dawn Light” is the first exhibition of this scale on the American continent and reflects Ozone’s 25 years of activity. Rather than a retrospective catalog, it offers three installations in the Galerie Templon, which follow one another like chapters, memories of successful achievements.
Whether it be collaborations with other designers (Michel Boyer, Gaëlle Lauriot-Prévost and Dominique Perrault, or Glenn Sestig) or the creations of the brand’s two founders, this exhibition also highlights the inspirations, the savoir-faire and materials that make the company unique, which Ozone has perfected over the last 25 years to achieve lighting perfection: solid nickel-plated aluminum, parchment paper,
finely veined white and pink onyx, and patinated brass.
Each of the three spaces in the Gallery will showcase some of the brand’s exclusive and iconic collections: Brasilia, designed by Michel Boyer in 1974 and produced by Ozone since 2011 Furtiv, designed by Gaëlle Lauriot-Prévost and Dominique Perrault for Ozone Tennessee, designed by Glenn Sestig for Ozone Embrun, designed by Etienne Gounot and Eric Jähnke for Ozone. If you are in New York do not miss this fantastic exhibit where light meets design!
