J.SALINAS presents Virreinato his magnificent collection in MFW

Peruvian fashion genius designer Jorge Luis Salinas presented his Fall Winter 2026/27 “Virreinato” Textile Architectures, Memory, and Identity Handmade in Peru.

Salinas presented the Fall Winter 2026/27 collection, Virreinato during Milan Fashion Week which emerges from a deep dialogue between history and craftsmanship. Each piece is a handmade work of art completely crafted by experienced Peruvian hands weaving the fusion of memory and innovation.

J. Salinas reinterprets the Virreinato heritage through a contemporary lens transforming volumes to a new look and feel. The silouhettes become wearable architectures, powerful and sculptural enveloping the woman’s body in structured shapes and dimensional textures.

At the heart of the collection lies crochet craftsmanship, a distinctive signature of the brand, which reaches an even deeper level of research in the Fall Winter 2026/27 proposal. The garments come to life through Peruvian Pima cotton and alpaca fiber, entirely crafted by local artisans, a true homage to the art of handmade craftsmanship that renders each piece unique and precious.

Traditional techniques enter into dialogue with a modern aesthetic, giving shape to rich, tactile and layered surfaces that evoke the preciousness of historical garments, reinterpreted through a contemporary sensibility.

Each look is conceived as a narrative: past and present coexist, intertwine, and are redefined through design. Bold volumes, structured sleeves, decorative details, and intricate workmanship build an imagery that celebrates Peruvian cultural identity while projecting it toward the future.

With the Fall Winter 2026/27 line, J. Salinas continues his journey of enhancing Peru's cultural heritage on the international stage, expressing his roots through fashion that is conscious, powerful, and deeply identity-driven.

An invitation to rediscover history as a living source of inspiration, capable of generating new forms of beauty.

"Peru holds a rich heritage of stories, traditions, and cultures that deserve to be told. Through fashion, I aim to give voice to these narratives, bringing them to the world with respect and creativity, to share the authentic soul of my country, " affirms Jorge Luis Salinas.

More than a collection, FW26/27 is a declaration of identity - a dialogue between craftsmanship, history and contemporaneity that continues to tell the world who we are and where we come from.

I am sure that we are witnessing the rise of knitwear superstar !
