Top 500 Bars 2025: The Global Ranking Announced in Florence

Past November 10th in Florence, Top 500 Bars revealed its final global ranking for 2025, announcing the positions from 100 to 1. The event took place at Palazzo Borghese, a neoclassical landmark and UNESCO World Heritage Site, bringing together bartenders, industry voices, and cocktail culture observers from around the world.

This year’s number one bar is Panda and Sons in Edinburgh, which was named the most influential bar in the world. The rest of the top positions reflect a mix of established capitals and ascendant cocktail cities:

The New York Presence

New York bars including Superbueno, Bemelmans, and Double Chicken Please featured in Top 500 Bars 2025 Top 100.

New York continues to be one of the most influential cities in the global cocktail conversation, with multiple bars placed across the Top 500. This year, Superbueno (35)Bemelmans Bar (45)Double Chicken Please (49)Sip & Guzzle (51)Overstory (56)Martiny’s (73)Employees Only (74), and Clemente Bar (77) represent the city within the Top 100, reflecting NYC’s ongoing leadership in technique, hospitality, and creative direction.

A Map That Continues to Expand

The 2025 list spans 125 cities across 53 countries, signaling a cocktail landscape no longer dominated by a few central hubs. Cities such as Bangkok, Hong Kong, and Mexico City continue to strengthen their presence. At the same time, Medellín, Abu Dhabi, Montevideo, and Pune appear on the ranking for the first time, reflecting the widening cultural geography of contemporary cocktail design.

The bars leading today emphasize a sense of place, cultural specificity, and a sharpened point of view, rather than purely technique or spectacle.

Methodology and Support

Top 500 Bars uses a data-driven approach, aggregating media coverage, expert commentary, consumer feedback, and digital relevance across more than twenty languages. The aim is to reflect cultural influence and impact in real time.
