Brooklyn just got a taste of Peru. From September 19 to 21, the Greenpoint Terminal Warehouse turned into a full-on Peruvian food fest as “Peru, Mucho Gusto” made its U.S. debut.

More than 5,000 people showed up, and the numbers tell the story: over $176K in sales and 30+ iconic dishes served by 14 Peruvian restaurants from New York and New Jersey. Think ceviche, pollo a la brasa, pan con chicharrón, chupe de camarones, and even a maki acevichado twist. Peru’s flavors hit hard in the Big Apple.

The program was just as rich: live cooking with chef Flavio Solórzano, a 360° pisco bar with Pisco Maker Johnny Schuler, and a talk on women shaping the pisco industry by Claudia Moquillaza. Guests also browsed Peruvian superfoods, contemporary design, and artisanal jewelry, all while diving deeper into Peru’s culture.

At the center of it all, chef-entrepreneur Franco Noriega and presenter Claudia Kosters kept the energy high, hosting and connecting the crowd with every experience.

Backed by Peru’s Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism, the fair was about showing why Peru is a global culinary powerhouse and a must-visit destination.

The Peru Mucho Gusto Gastronomic Fair will have a 3rd international iteration this December in São Paulo, Brazil, to discover more of Perú, follow their socials.
