NYFW: Imitation of Christ Collection

Led by artist, filmmaker and designer Tara Subkoff, Imitation of Christ returned to New York Fashion Week with a live performance revisiting the brand’s iconic 2001 “reverse runway.” Rather than watching a traditional runway show, guests became part of it — met at the door by performers Grace Phipps and Ruby McCollister and sent down the runway themselves as models lined the gallery.

The presentation featured one-of-a-kind upcycled couture created with Central Saint Martins designers Ed Teller, Lily Teiger and Greg Harrison, continuing IOC’s more than 25-year history of transforming discarded, vintage and secondhand clothing through fashion and performance.
