HOSPITALITY DESIGN names GRUPO HABITA hotelier of the year

This 2026 Grupo Habita celebrates 25 years this year HD Magazine decides there is no better time than now to extend their prestigious hotelier of the year honor to Grupo HABITA.

Past recipients include ASH NYC, andAveBradley of Kimpton, Auberge Hotels, and Standard International. The recognition is chosen by the HD editorial team, and thus after being part of The Platinum Circle before, they recognize Grupo Habita as visionary and game changing hoteliers.

Grupo Habita embodies this spirit through the leadership of its four partners, and the impact of our hotels, especially with the impressive openings in the last couple years like Hotel Humano in La Punta Zicatela, Puerto Escondido, Hotel Sevilla in Merida, Yucatan Peninsula, Otro Oaxaca in Oaxaca City, and more.

The award will be presented during the ceremony, which will be held in Las Vegas on May 5th. The awards ceremony is the highlight of the week. More so, Rafael Micha Managing and Founding Partner will speak during the tradeshow portion of the event.  This honor also includes an in-book feature in HD Magazine May/June issue.
