Cartier unveils a symphony of artistry and heritage in the heart of Rome:
The Maison takes up residence in the Eternal City with a precious exhibition and the reopening of its emblematic boutique on via dei Condotti. This month also sees the Capitoline Museum’s Palazzo Nuovo inaugurate the exhibition “Cartier & Myths”.
Honoring Cartier’s presence in the city since 1975, the via dei Condotti boutique reopened its doors on the 5th November to reveal a historic space that has been redesigned, renovated and expanded. The extensive architectural and decorative work has led to a true re-founding of the rooms and floors, enhancing every detail and offering the Maison’s clients an even more enveloping and deeply immersive experience.
Meanwhile, in the statuesque elegance of Palazzo Talia's corridors, from the 12th to 19th of November, an exhibition brings together contemporary creations and archival pieces from the Cartier collection, celebrating the dialogue between past and present. Visitors will find themselves on an immersive path into the soul of Rome, celebrating beauty, heritage, and inspiration.
The journey continues in the Galleria d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea, where two exclusive Gala Dinners will celebrate the collections, drawing parallels between artistic innovation and the craftsmanship of High Jewelry.
Finally, "Cartier & Myths at the Capitoline Museums” opens on Piazza del Campidoglio, the first temporary exhibition held in the galleries of the Palazzo Nuovo. This exhibition, curated by Jewellery historian Bianca Cappello, Archeologist Stéphane Verger and Capitoline Superintendent Claudio Parisi Presicce, and promoted by Roma Capitale, the Department of Culture, the Capitoline Superintendency for Cultural Heritage, is organized in collaboration with the Maison and with the support of Zetema Progetto Cultura. The curation places the Maison’s creations - mostly from the heritage Cartier Collection - in dialogue with the marble sculptures from the collection of Cardinal Alessandro Albani and a selection of precious ancient artefacts from Italian and international institutions. Their evocative dialogue highlights the use of the classical Greco-Roman repertoire in Cartier's creations and explores the mythological inspirations that have nourished Cartier's imagery since the beginning of the 20th century.
The exhibition is open from November 14, 2025, to March 15, 2026, with more information and tickets available here: https://museiincomuneroma.vivaticket.it/en/event/cartier-e-il-mito-metamorfosi-della-bellezza/287912?idt=4542
