Aline Hazarian at Salon Art + Design with Maison Gerard

From today in New York Maison Gérard will be presenting two of Aline Hazarian latest creations, the new Tir Chandelier and the large Arpi Coffee Table, at Salon Art + Design.

Aline’s relationship with Maison Gérard has always felt very natural. For more than five decades, the gallery has celebrated the elegance of Art Deco while embracing the freedom and individuality of contemporary design. This dialogue between different periods and artistic expressions is something the sculptor has always felt close to.

“I have a deep appreciation for Art Deco, for its proportions, refinement and timeless elegance. At the same time, I am equally drawn to Brutalism, to its honesty, strength and simplicity.

What fascinates me is how these two seemingly different worlds can come together. I have never been interested in ornament for its own sake. I believe that a simple form, when beautifully proportioned, can have an extraordinary presence.

Bronze allows me to express this feeling. It is a material of strength and permanence, yet it can also convey softness, movement and delicacy.”

The Tir Chandelier and the Arpi Coffee Table reflect this personal dialogue between structure and sensitivity, between the raw and the refined.

“For me, the beauty of an object lies not in its complexity, but in the emotion, it evokes through the simplicity of its form.

I am particularly happy to share these pieces with Maison Gérard , a gallery that understands the importance of bringing the past and present together without losing the individuality of the artist.”

If you happen to be in New York do not miss Maison Gerard stand at Salon Art + Design open until November 8th.
